Job Summary: North America represents a crucial growth region for Ultrahuman, and our ability to scale depends on a resilient, agile, and high-performing supply chain. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will take on a pivotal leadership role in orchestrating our end-to-end supply chain operations, from strategic sourcing and supplier management to logistics and fulfillment. This is a high-impact position that requires both big-picture thinking and day-to-day execution to ensure seamless delivery of our health technology products.
Youâll lead the development of a robust supplier ecosystem, forging strong partnerships while driving performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability. Working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Product teams, and our India-based Operations, youâll implement supply chain strategies that balance speed, quality, and scalability. Much like how top innovators have revolutionized supply chains through data, precision, and relentless optimization, youâll use first-principles thinking and best-in-class practices to deliver measurable results.
Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling Ultrahuman to meet growing customer demand with consistency and excellence, transforming our supply chain into a true competitive advantage.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify, meticulously evaluate, and strategically select new suppliers of critical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards, cost targets, and ethical sourcing requirements. Proactively manage existing supplier relationships, fostering open communication, conducting regular performance reviews, and collaboratively addressing any challenges to ensure consistent supply and optimal performance. Develop and implement robust supplier qualification and onboarding processes.
Inventory Optimization and Lead Time Management: Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize inventory levels across the entire product lifecycle, minimizing carrying costs while ensuring uninterrupted production. Analyze demand patterns, forecast variability, and implement appropriate inventory management techniques (e.g., JIT, safety stock calculations). Critically assess and actively work to reduce lead times across the supply chain, from raw material procurement to final product delivery.
Demand Forecasting and Production Planning Collaboration: Develop accurate and reliable demand forecasts by collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams. Effectively communicate these forecasts to the production planning teams to ensure alignment between supply and demand. Participate actively in production planning meetings, providing insights on component availability, lead times, and potential supply chain disruptions.
Supplier Performance Monitoring and SLA Compliance: Establish clear performance metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) with key suppliers. Diligently monitor supplier performance against these metrics, proactively identifying and addressing any deviations or areas for improvement. Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, contractual obligations, and ethical practices. Implement corrective action plans when necessary to mitigate risks and improve supplier performance.
Global Logistics and Trade Compliance Oversight: Oversee all aspects of global logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods. Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant customs regulations, import/export requirements, and international trade compliance laws. Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and manage relationships with freight forwarders and customs brokers. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international supply chains.
Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum of 5â8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management roles within the electronics, healthcare, or contract electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industries. A proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chains and achieving tangible results is essential.
Demonstrated strong understanding of contract manufacturing processes and the intricacies of effective vendor management. Experience negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and resolving supplier-related issues is highly desirable.
Proficiency in utilizing and extracting data from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems. Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems relevant to the manufacturing industry will be considered an advantage.
Comprehensive knowledge of global logistics operations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance regulations. Familiarity with import/export documentation, tariffs, and trade agreements is required.
