Job Title: CEO, Data & Analytics platform for brands

About the venture:

The venture is developing a cutting-edge SaaS platform designed to transform how FMCG brands access, visualize, and leverage retailers data. Our platform is currently under development, and we are actively seeking pilot partners to collaborate in refining our technology. Such partnerships will allow brands to tailor the platform to their specific needs, test key use cases, and position themselves at the forefront of innovative data-driven decision-making.

About Data Cue:

Data Cue is revolutionizing the way brands access, visualize, and leverage retail data. Our platform seamlessly integrates disparate data sources into a unified format, providing brands with a comprehensive view across all retail channels. Through sophisticated algorithms and advanced analytics, we transform raw data into actionable insights, empowering brands to make informed strategic decisions.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary CEO to lead a Data & Analytics solution for CPG brands through its next phase of growth and innovation. The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of the company. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the retail and CPG industry, a proven track record of driving business growth, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic leadership:
    • Develop and execute the company's strategic vision and long-term goals.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansions.
  2. Operational management:
    • Oversee daily operations and ensure the effective implementation of business strategies.
    • Drive the development and implementation of scalable processes and systems.
  3. Financial performance:
    • Optimize financial performance by driving revenue growth.
    • Secure funding and manage relationships with investors and stakeholders,, including presenting to the board and monitoring key performance indicators
  4. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the executive team and employees.
  5. Product and tech development
    • Guide the development and enhancement of Data Cue’s platform and services.
    • Ensure the company stays at the forefront of technological advancements in data analytics and retail solutions.
  6. Relationships with brands and retailers:
    • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with leading brands and retailers.
    • Understand the needs and challenges of brand and retailer partners to provide tailored solutions.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with key partners to ensure beneficial outcomes for all parties.

Qualifications:

  • You have proven experience as a CEO or in other senior leadership roles, preferably in the retail data or technology industry.
  • You have a strong understanding of data analytics, retail operations, and technology-driven solutions.
  • You have worked in a startup, ideally as a co-founder, or in a senior position in a fintech startup post series A
  • You possess a wealth of experience in the key areas of growth, marketing, and sales
  • You have outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • You can set ambitious targets while staying on top of the company cash flow
  • You have entrepreneurial grit and are not afraid to get your hands dirty
  • You have seen 'greatness' in your previous experience, e.g., you have experienced what it is like to grow a startup from a few employees to hundreds, etc.
  • You have a burning desire to scale the company and are willing to take all the sacrifices and risks it comes with it
