Job Title: Compliance Consultant - Freelancer

Experience and Skills:

Deep Knowledge of Saudi Arabia Cybersecurity Landscape:

• Experience working with or consulting for organizations in Saudi Arabia.
• In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment, including ECC, SAMA-CSF, and PDPL.

Comprehensive Compliance Understanding:

• Expertise in interpreting and applying cybersecurity regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with how organizations in Saudi Arabia approach compliance and risk management

Experience with Compliance Automation:

• Proven track record in developing/implementing/working with compliance automation solution
• Understanding of the challenges and pain points in automating compliance processes.

Experience with Compliance Audits

• Proven track record in conducting or participating in compliance audits for organizations.
• Familiarity with audit processes, methodologies, and reporting.

Technical Proficiency:

• Strong technical background in cybersecurity
• Knowledge of relevant technologies and tools for cybersecurity and compliance automation.

Risk Management Expertise:

• Ability to assess and manage cybersecurity risks effectively.
• Experience in developing risk management strategies tailored to Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance Knowledge:

• Understanding of legal aspects of cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy in Saudi Arabia.
• Knowledge of global best practices and standards in data protection and privacy.

Communication and Collaboration Skills:

• Strong communication skills to convey complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Deliverables

• Develop the team’s knowledge base on local compliance regulations and best practices (SAMA-CSF,PDPL,ECC)
• Customisable roadmap outlining the steps/tasks required to achieve compliance per framework
• Break down the roadmap into manageable phases with prioritized tasks to reach minimum compliance standards
• Compliance documentation templates per framework ECC, SAMA-CSF, and PDPL
• Scoping compliance controls based on company's size, industry and tech, risk and maturity profile
• Define specific compliance checks and controls that can be automated
• Provide support and consultation on developing prototypes/designs on platform/dashboard that visualizes compliance status, risks, and progress
