About the Role
As a Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) at Pluto, you’ll play a critical role in driving our next stage of growth. Beyond acquiring new B2B customers, you will lead strategic initiatives to expand into key verticals, mentor junior team members, and shape Pluto’s go-to-market approach.
This role is ideal for a proven closer who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings deep experience in outbound-led sales, and is motivated to scale a high-growth fintech startup.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to signed agreements, with a strong focus on outbound-led new business acquisition.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to penetrate priority industries (e.g., finance, procurement, real estate, F&B).
Conduct high-level discovery conversations with senior finance leaders (CFOs, Controllers, Procurement Heads) to uncover needs and position Pluto as the solution.
Deliver compelling product demos and value-based presentations tailored to each prospect.
Consistently exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets while building a scalable pipeline.
Collaborate closely with Marketing on outbound campaigns, messaging, and demand generation strategies.
Partner with Customer Success and Onboarding to ensure seamless transitions and long-term customer value.
Provide input to Product on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights.
Mentor and guide junior sales team members (BDRs/BD Executives), contributing to skill development and overall team performance.
Requirements
6–8 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, ideally in SaaS or fintech within the MENA region.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota and closing mid-market to enterprise deals.
Strong consultative selling and storytelling skills with C-level and senior decision-makers.
Expertise in outbound prospecting and pipeline generation, including use of CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Sales Navigator, Outreach, etc.).
Ability to quickly grasp complex financial software and translate value into simple, customer-centric narratives.
Experience selling into finance, accounting, or procurement functions strongly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills — mentoring junior sales professionals or leading small teams is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
