What is Aurem?

Aurem is an employee benefits platform for global teams. We provide access to core corporate products such as pensions, savings and incentive plans, as well as personal value-add products such as multi-currency accounts, travel and lifestyle benefits.

Role Overview:

We are in search of an experienced Operations specialist to oversee and optimize our daily operations. This role will be instrumental in designing efficient processes, driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting company growth. An ideal candidate would be someone who not only understands the intricacies of back-office functions, sales operations, and customer support but is also well-versed in doing so in the realms of wealth management, Fintech or payments, transactions, and settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the operational strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management to set operational targets, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Process Design & Optimization:
    • Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve productivity.

    • Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
    • Setting up processes and SOP’s for the back end service function which will include onboarding clients, compliance and customer service.
    • Streamline sales operations to assist the sales team in their endeavors.
    • Use customer feedback to further refine and improve operational processes.
    • Oversee the preparation and provision of documentation to internal teams and external partners.
    • Work closely with the leadership and sales team, providing them with necessary operational insights and support.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on operational challenges, progress, and milestones achieved.
    • Continuously monitor and analyze the effectiveness of operational tools and software, recommending upgrades or changes as needed.
    • Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize operational processes, increase productivity, and minimize manual errors.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in fintech operations to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, partners, regulators, and vendors, to ensure operational alignment and effective communication.
    • Manage relationships with strategic partners, technology vendors, and service providers.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning.
    • To set up the overall structure and performance of the internal team, and oversee their OKRs and performance.
  • Back-Office Management:
    • Ensure that all back-office functions, such as customer onboarding / offboarding, reconciliations and settlements, are in line with compliance requirements and best practice.
    • Implement and oversee a robust customer support system, ensuring queries and issues are addressed promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in establishing and refining processes in a start-up environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Background in wealth management, Fintech, payments, or similar domains.
  • Proven expertise in handling transactions, reconciliations, and settlements.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations management, or a related field.
  • ​​Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.


  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent command of the English language. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
