The Job in a Nutshell💡

As a Senior Data Engineer at Foodics you will play a crucial role in developing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and meet the business requirements. This role demands expertise in Python, AWS, Snowflake, SQL, and strong communication skills to understand and fulfill ad-hoc data requests from various departments.

What You Will Do❓

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python, AWS, and Snowflake to ensure the reliable extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
• Data Loading: Implement and optimize data loading processes, ensuring data is loaded efficiently and securely into data warehouses.

• Scheduling and Automation: Set up and manage data pipeline scheduling and automation to ensure data is delivered timely and consistently.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve data pipeline issues. Optimize performance to meet SLAs.
• Ad-hoc Requests: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements, handle ad-hoc data requests, and provide timely solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, data sources, and workflows.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to understand their data needs and provide data support.

What Are We Looking For❓

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering roles, with a strong track record in Python, AWS, Snowflake, and SQL.
• Data Warehouse: Proficiency in managing data warehousing solutions, especially Snowflake.
• ETL: Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools.
• AWS: Strong knowledge of AWS services like S3, Lambda, and EC2.
• SQL: Excellent SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Scripting: Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to understand business requirements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex data engineering challenges.
• Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Snowpark/PySpark will be an advantage

Who Will Excel❓

• Having experience working in Startup, SaaS, F&B, or Fintech industries, Asw certifications, and being familiar with specific systems.
